Kangs instructed in relation to an allegation of conspiracy to supply Class A drugs | Kangs Serious Crime Team

Kangs Serious Crime Team have been instructed to represent one of fifteen defendants involved in a large conspiracy to supply class A drugs at Birmingham Crown Court. The Organisers operated from a Pent House apartment in a very exclusive development in North Oxford.

During police raids at this address a ten tonne hydraulic bench press was seized. It is believed this was used to press large quantities of cocaine once it had been adulterated with cutting agents. The accused are are alleged to have supplied cocaine in the greater London area, Birmingham, Oxford and the Thames Valley.

Surveillance was carried out for in excess of 6 months. Officers allowed the conspiracy to operate without making any arrests in order to gather evidence and intelligence. The quantity of drugs sold is unknown, as seizures were not made while the surveillance operation was on going. It is estimated that several hundred kilos of cocaine have passed through the hands of the conspirators.

This was a sophisticated and carefully planned operation. In the preparation of this case our lawyers will be considering telephone and cell site evidence, Automated Number Plate Recognition data, CCTV footage, covert video recordings and banking material. It is anticipated that an expert witness will have to be instructed to provide an independent opinion on the cell site evidence the Prosecution intend to rely on.
