The Circumstances | Kangs Immigration Offences Defence Team
- The Prosecution alleges that the defendants had access to thousands of fake travel documents and used these documents to ensure the individuals being transported in to the UK arrived without detection of the UK border agencies.
- In the preparation of our client’s defence, we have reviewed thousands of pages of telephone evidence, including text messages, messages retrieved from Whats App and Viber as well as telephone call logs. This evidence has then been cross-referenced with bank accounts and records of flight bookings.
- We have also traced and interviewed a number of potential defence witnesses on behalf of our client.
The trial commenced this week and is due to last for around five weeks.
