Two companies have received very substantial fines following the sad death of an employee as the result of being struck by a shovel loader.

The Circumstances | Kangs Health and Safety Experts
- Mold Magistrates’ Court heard how in early 2017, the 29 year old worker was struck by a shovel loader whilst working at a Paper Mill.
- An investigation carried out by the Health and Safety Executive found that there was no safe system in operation to segregate pedestrians and vehicles. Further, the investigations established that drivers had limited visibility when driving large shovel loaders.
- Two companies were prosecuted for offences contrary to health and safety regulations namely sections 2(1) and 3(1) of the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974.
