Legal Highs Legislation to come into force on 26th May 2016

The Psychoactive Substances Act 2016, which buyneurontin.org received royal assent on the 28th January 2016, was initially due to come into force in England and Wales on the 6th April 2016.

In late March 2016 it became apparent that the commencement of the act was to be delayed, the Government citing difficulties regarding enforcement.

The Home Office has now introduced the Psychoactive Substances Act 2016 (Commencement) Regulations 2016. This Statutory Instrument now confirms that the Psychoactive Substances Act will come into force on the new date of 26th May 2016.

This Act will have far reaching implications for those caught intentionally supplying “psychoactive substances” where it is going to be or likely to be consumed for its psychoactive effects.
