Knife Crime | Camden, London | Kangs National Criminal Defence Solicitors

Share

Last week, in the space of a few hours, the Police were called to three separate knife attacks in Camden, London which all occurred within a few hundred metres.

Sadly, two of the victims have died and the third remains in hospital receiving treatment.

As a result of these attacks, a notice has been authorised under section 60 of the Criminal Justice and Public Order Act 1994 which enables the Police to stop and search any person or vehicle in Camden “with good reason”.

In the exercise of this authority, the Police have already stopped and searched numerous people and have seized offensive weapons, drugs and other prohibited items leading to the arrest of a number of individuals.

The section 60 notice remains in place amid fear of reprisal attacks.
