The Events | Kangs Criminal Defence Team
Following a police allegation that our client had damaged a window, he was found to be in possession of a small quantity of Class A drugs.
- Our client strenuously denied knowledge of being in possession with the result that the Police offered to deal with the matter simply by way of a caution.
- However, such a caution would have had a devastating effect on our client’s livelihood as it would have restricted his need for international travel which was a requirement of his employment. A caution or conviction for these offences would effectively have ended our client’s current career.
- Accordingly, following detailed negotiations with the police, no further action was taken for possession of a controlled substance and a payment of one hundred and fifty ponds was agreed in respect of the alleged criminal damage.
- Naturally, our client was ecstatic with the result.
